Robert Scott Thompson — Early Releases Covers
Prior to 1989, all of RST’s music was released on cassette. Despite this, he was able to garner some modest broadcast exposure, label interest, and reviews of his music beginning around 1979.
This is a collection of some of the covers that were created for those cassette releases.
Nearly all of the cover art was created by artist Victoria Bearden, who continues to create art work for Aucourant Records releases. These covers were created by collage techniques, using scissors and paste, and were duplicated using color photocopying.
Collectors may be interested to know that copies of some of these cassette recordings are still available. Other recordings from this period, depicted here, are not in the catalog at this time. If interested please send an email.
